A little bit about me...
Hello, my name is Reanne DeGraff, and I am currently a senior at the University of Central Florida working towards a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice with a certificate in Criminal Profiling. I have previously received my Associate's degree in Criminal Justice from the College of Central Florida before I received my high school diploma thanks to the dual enrollment program. My father has worked as both a police officer, and his current occupation, a crime scene technician for my entire life so I grew up in a home full of crime stories and crime shows. As a kid my favorite thing to do was watch crime shows and read serial killer books, as I was always interested in knowing why people did the things they did. I think psychology plays an enormous role in crime and I think understanding why people commit crimes can help a lot not only with the investigation but it can also help to better understand criminals and find better ways of dealing with crime as a whole.
As previously stated, my father has always been in law enforcement, and he plays an important role in my life as a person I look up to. I was raised to always seek for the truth, and to always do my best to ensure that justice, no matter how small, is served. My father raised me to work hard and never settle for anything lest than the absolute best I can offer. I am an extremely hard worker and I am very keen on details. I like to take a step back and analyze situations and problems in a logical way that can allow me to break down every aspect of any project I am working on. Beyond the brains, I also have the brawn. I love working out and staying in pristine shape. I have previously worked as a lifeguard over summers throughout high school which gave me many physical challenges and regularly scheduled fitness performance tests. This job also trained me in many life saving actions that could very well come in handy in a first responder position. I have also had extensive experience in customer service which has allowed me to pick up social and communication skills that allow me to connect to people and be able to handle conversations. Outside of academics I was a dancer my entire life and loved to act. I also was big on playing sports like football(soccer) and tennis. I love to paint and I write short stories for my friends occasionally. I consider myself a very creative person. I also love to laugh, and more importantly make others laugh, so I find humor to be a big portion of my personality. |
